Hallelujah

Real runners run, they don't TALK about running. Shut up and do your miles. Great Globe column here (thanks to Oona) on the topic of the flood of newbies in the running world. Although, note the author says he only ran his first marathon a couple years ago. Doesn't that make him a newbie? Well I guess the difference is the attitude, not the longevity.

Thoughts?

Funny, that quote "I'm a runner" reminds me of the time at Pigsah years ago after a bunch of guys got lost. (someone removed the ribbons) Very late in the day we saw a guy running back, and I asked, Want a ride back to start? His responded, "NO, I'M A RUNNER!" Remember that one Crazy Dave!!

If it wasn't for this article, I would have missed the photos of the celtic cheerleader tryouts. Thanks Oona!

another a-hole tells me when to run and what to say.

I think the person who wrote the article is not proud of his running accomplishments and ability, and doesn't want to hear about other runners' accomplishments. But, he goes too far, when he starts telling people not to run at lunchtime! We are all busy people, and I run whenever I can fit it in.
